BIOGRAPHY
Piotr Alexewicz is one of the most recognized Polish pianists of his generation, laureate of the 5th Prize, Audience Prize and numerous special awards at the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw.
In 2025, he won the Second Prize at the Hilton Head International Piano Competition in the USA, consolidating his position on the global piano stage. In the same year, he was a semifinalist at the 17th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth.
He is a two-time winner of the 48th and 50th National Chopin Piano Competitions organized by the Frederic Chopin Institute. He also won top prizes at competitions in Paris and Bucharest.
Piotr Alexewicz zählt zu den bekanntesten polnischen Pianisten seiner Generation. Er ist Preisträger des 5. Preises, des Publikumspreises sowie mehrerer Sonderpreise beim XIX. Internationalen Fryderyk-Chopin-Klavierwettbewerb in Warschau.

Piotr Alexewicz est l’un des pianistes polonais les plus reconnus de sa génération. Lauréat du 5ᵉ Prix, du Prix du Public ainsi que de plusieurs prix spéciaux lors du 19ᵉ Concours International de Piano Frédéric Chopin à Varsovie.

Il a aussi remporté les plus hautes distinctions lors de concours de piano à Paris et à Bucarest.
Piotr Alexewicz jest jednym z najbardziej rozpoznawalnych polskich pianistów swojej generacji, laureat V Nagrody, Nagrody Publiczności oraz szeregu nadród pozaregulaminowych na XIX Międzynarodowym Konkursie Pianistycznym im. Fryderyka Chopin w Warszawie.
W 2025 roku zdobył II nagrodę na Międzynarodowym Konkursie Pianistycznym Hilton Head w USA, co również ugruntowało jego pozycję na światowej scenie pianistycznej. W tym samym roku został półfinalistą XVII Międzynarodowego Konkursu Pianistycznego im. Van Cliburna w Fort Worth.
Jest laureatem Nagrody im. prof. Zbigniewa Drzewieckiego na XVIII Międzynarodowym Konkursie Pianistycznym im. Fryderyka Chopina w Warszawie oraz dwukrotnym zwycięzcą 48. i 50. Ogólnopolskiego Konkursu Chopinowskiego organizowanego przez Narodowy Instytut Fryderyka Chopina. Zdobył również najwyższe nagrody na konkursach pianistycznych w Paryżu i Bukareszcie.
In 2024, he triumphed at the Piano Texas Academy and Festival Concerto Competition, performing Johannes Brahms’ Piano Concerto in D minor, op. 15 with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Miguel Harth-Bedoya. That same year, he became one of the three laureates of the prestigious Schenk Competition in Switzerland, winning – for the first time in the competition’s history – all special prizes, including the Audience Prize and the Orchestra Prize.
The artist has an extensive discography, including his debut album released in 2019 by the Frederic Chopin Institute, featuring works by Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Ravel. In cooperation with the Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra under the direction of Howard Shelley, he recorded all of Chopin’s works for piano and orchestra that are not concertos.
In 2025, three albums were released containing all of the artist’s solo performances during the 17th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth.

In 2021, in recognition of his artistic achievements, he was awarded the “Young Promoter of Poland” distinction by the First Lady of the Republic of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, for his outstanding contribution to the promotion of Polish culture. In the same year, he received the Wrocław Artistic Award. He was also honored with the Lower Silesia Key to Success Award (2025) and named among the 30 Creative Citizens of Wrocław (2026).
The artist maintains an active international concert career, performing in Poland, Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Romania, Denmark, the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Morocco and many other countries. Since 2024, he has been engaged in teaching piano at The Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław.
Piotr Alexewicz began his musical studies at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław under the guidance of Paweł Zawadzki and is currently continuing them at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in Zurich, studying in the class of Konstantin Scherbakov. He has also trained under Nikolai Demidenko.

W 2021 roku, w uznaniu osiągnięć artystycznych, został uhonorowany przez Pierwszą Damę Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej Agatę Kornhauser-Dudę wyróżnieniem „Młody Promotor Polski” za wybitny wkład w promocję kultury polskiej. W tym samym roku otrzymał Wrocławską Nagrodę Artystyczną. Został także laureatem Dolnośląskiego Klucza Sukcesu (2025) oraz znalazł się w gronie 30 Kreatywnych Wrocławia (2026).
Artysta prowadzi intensywną działalność koncertową na całym świecie, występując m.in. w Polsce, Szwajcarii, Niemczech, Francji, Włoszech, Hiszpanii, Rumunii, Danii, Wielkiej Brytanii, USA, Kanadzie, Brazylii, Japonii, Korei Południowej, Maroku i wielu innych krajach. Od 2024 roku prowadzi klasę fortepianu w Akademii Muzycznej im. Karola Lipińskiego we Wrocławiu.
Piotr Alexewicz rozpoczął studia muzyczne w Akademii Muzycznej im. Karola Lipińskiego we Wrocławiu pod kierunkiem Pawła Zawadzkiego, a obecnie kontynuuje je w Zürcher Hochschule der Künste w Zurychu w klasie Konstantina Scherbakova. Doskonalił się również pod kierunkiem Nikolaia Demidenko.
